It caused a drastic shortage in the supply of surgical masks, leaving grassroot citizens in face of tremendous pressure in their daily living. In view of this, FHKI's Committee on Promoting Corporate Social Responsibility ("CSR Committee") showed concerted effort in organising two rounds of anti-pandemic supplies distribution in April and May 2020. The Committee donated surgical masks and goggles to underprivileged families, the elderly and the disabled through 13 social welfare organisations. About 3,000 people were benefitted. While the economy remains sluggish, the CSR Committee organised "Food Donation Action 2021" in March 2021 to donate 1,200 lucky bags to five local food banks and non-government organisations. The lucky bags were distributed to underprivileged families in need. In the Action, our member companies generously donated food items, fruits and anti- epidemic supplies, with the volunteers from Young Executive Council to assist in packing the lucky bags. These fully demonstrated FHKI's altruism and spirits of mutual help to support the less-advantaged groups in our society.
