47 香港工業總會年報 2013-14 Group 7 – Fabricated metal products and iron, steel and non-ferrous metal basic industries and machinery Led by Group Chairman Jimi Kwok and Vice-Chairman Sze Kam-shing, a group of 40 members paid a visit to the Luk’s Brothers Metal Button Factory & Co Ltd and Golden Sun Housewares Manufacturing Ltd in Shenzhen in December 2013. The trip gave them insights on how different modes of factory operation could be applied for different kinds of metal products. During a casual luncheon with Shum Yat-fei on the Outlook of Year of Horse organised by the Group in March 2014, Master Shum shared his metaphysical views on prospects for the New Year. Group 8 – Food, Beverages and Tobacco To strengthen exchanges amongst members, the Group held a cosy dinner gathering at a private kitchen in Tin Hau in July 2013, during which Group Chairman Eddy Lee, Vice-Chairman Eric Ng and other members mingled in a relaxed and congenial atmosphere. 第7分組 – 金屬加工製品及鋼鐵與 有色金屬基本工業及機械 分組主席郭岳榮及副主席施金誠率領 40名會員,於2013年12月參觀陸氏 五金鈕扣廠有限公司及金昇家庭用品 製造廠有限公司的深圳廠房,讓會員 體驗不同金屬產品廠房的營運模式。 該分組亦於2014年3月舉辦輕鬆午 餐會,邀請岑逸飛從玄學角度分析馬 年的商運前景。 2013, the Group organised a visit to Namtien Noodle Plant in Sai Kung. The Group organised a briefing session in January 2014 in response to the public consultation on municipal solid waste charging launched by the Council for Sustainable Development. Principal Consultant from the Hong Kong Productivity Council Ir Kenny Wong briefed members on the key issues and considerations related to implementing municipal solid waste charging in Hong Kong. Vice-Chairman Eric Ng and some members actively gave their views on the proposed charging scheme. Led by Mr Ng, some 15 members visited the Vegetable Marketing Organisation’s Controlled Environment Hydroponic Research and Development Centre in March 2014 to learn more about hydroponic technology and equipment in a controlled environment. The Group, together with Group 18 (Non-manufacturing I - Support services for industry) and Group 20 (Hong Kong Trade Services Council), co-organised a two-day visit to Lee Kum Kee Xinhui Plant in August 2013. Eddy Lee and Eric Ng led more than 40 FHKI members to tour the plant and members were briefed on the company’s corporate culture and production techniques. An evening banquet followed, during which leading officials of the Economic and Information Bureau of Xinhui Jiangmen City were also present. In December
