The 32 Industry Groups under FHKI remained active in engaging their members and made good use of technology to strengthen communications with member companies. The Groups organised a number of webinars, online and offline events for members to stay abreast of the latest development of industries and formulate business strategies amid challenges in the business environment. 在過去一年，疫情仍然反覆，工總轄下的三十二 個行業分組從未有停下腳步，以調整會務的形式， 善用科技與會員企業加強交流溝通，年內亦舉辦 多個網絡研討會及線上線下活動，讓會員了解行 業最新發展情況，及早制定 商策略。 Hong Kong Chemical and Biotechnology Council More than ten local enterprises joined the Council this year. A consistent rise in member number symbolises an increase in the industry's union and cohesiveness. Looking forward, the Council will continue to foster the development of chemical and biotechnology in Hong Kong and actively enhance the overall competitiveness of the industry. Hong Kong Building Materials and Construction Industries Council The Council acts as the communication bridge between the Government's departments and the industry and speaks on issues related to building materials and construction for the industry. January 2021 - The Executive Committee ("ExCom") organised a Zoom meeting to collect members' opinions on the Labour Department's proposed legislation of "Raising the penalties under occupational safety and health". Members' suggestions were then undersigned by FHKI Chairman Dr Daniel Yip and submitted to the Labour Department. February 2021 - The Council organised a Chinese New Year online gathering to strengthen members' relations and interactions. Members also exchanged their views and business updates during the pandemic. 香港化工及生物科技協會 協會於本年度招收十多間本地企業加入成為會員 公司，會員數目持續上升，可見行業的凝聚力不 斷提升。協會未來會繼續積極推動本 的化工及 生物科技發展，並將以此為目標，協助業界提升 競爭力。 香港建築物料及建造行業協會 協會一直與政府部門及同業間保持健康的溝通橋 樑，時刻關注建築物料及建造行業的議題，並為 業界發聲。 2021 年 1 月 — 就勞工處建議修訂《提高職業安全 及健康法例罰則》一事，召開視像會議，收集執委 對提高罰則的意見。其後由工總葉中賢主席代表 去信勞工處提出多項建議。 2021 年 2 月 — 舉辦新春網上團拜，加強會員間的 聯繫。會員互相祝賀，並交流彼此於疫情期間的 業務近況。
