10 FHKI ANNUAL REPORT 2020-21 KEY MEMBERS 主要 成員 Capturing Opportunities Towards the New Industrial Era When I assumed office two years ago, I committed myself to the missions of "Rejuventaing Hong Kong industries" and "Nurturing industrial and I&T talents" in my chairmanship. I am honoured to see that the efforts were gradually delivering results. With full support from the Government in Hong Kong's I&T development and promoting re-industrialisation, I have full confidence that we can gather the best minds across sectors to turn a new page of prosperity in Hong Kong industries. I would like to express my sincere gratitude and profound appreciation to the FHKI's General Committee Members, Deputy Chairmen and all the members for their participation and wise counsel over the term of 2019- 2021. Our achievements in the past two years lies in the full support of our members and veteran industrialists, and only with all your contributions can FHKI thrive to grow and succeed. Last but not least, I would like to pay tribute to FHKI's Secretariat for their diligence and commitment, who took every vision of the General Committee into delicate execution with unwavering determination. Despite the pandemic situation has been volatile, uncertainties continue to weigh on Hong Kong's economy. Yet, FHKI vows to shoulder the responsibility to stay agile in the evolving conditions and pilot the way forward for the industry. As the staunchest supporter of the Hong Kong industrial and commercial sector, we are determined to propel the way forward to "Reinventing Hong Kong Industries" and transformation for our members. Hong Kong industrialists have shown to be adaptable, responsive and resilient to overcome difficulties and take advantage of new opportunities. We look ahead to the integration into national development and leverage Hong Kong's business advantages in the GBA. It has often been said that there is always a rainbow after every storm. Under the leadership of the new General Committee, I wish FHKI to remain the strongest navigator for Hong Kong industries and lead our way through towards the new industrial era. Dr Daniel Yip Chairman 25 May 2021 穩中求變　 開創新工業時代 兩年任期轉眼間完結，我在上任初時訂下「工業 年輕化」和「培養工業及創科人才」為最重要的兩 大目標，在期內亦有所進展。隨政府積極推動創 科發展和香 再工業化，越來越多持份 參與， 我相信集眾人之力，香 的工業前路將會走上康 莊大道。 我在此衷心感謝 2019-21 年度的工總理事會、各 位副主席及一眾會員積極參與和支持工總會務， 互相分享寶貴經驗及專業知識，實在令我受益匪 淺。過去兩年有賴諸位全力支持及通力合作，工 總多項工作才能夠順利完成，為香 工商業界作 出貢獻。此外，我十分感謝工總秘書處仝人一直 所付出的努力，將理事會的計劃一一付諸實踐。 本地疫情雖然逐步緩和，但香 經濟復甦的路看 來仍是荊棘滿途，此際工總更覺任重道遠，在多 變的環境下續為業界領航。我們作為本地工商業 界的後盾，定必一如以往，秉承「工業創新 續 顯輝煌」的宗旨，鼓勵香 企業把握危機中轉型 升級的契機。我亦深信香 工業家靈活多變、堅 毅不屈，未來善用國家發展大局及粵 澳大灣區 商優勢，風雨過後必然再見彩虹。在新一屆理 事會的帶領下，我祝願工總繼往開來，繼續引領 業界前行，共創香 新工業時代。 主席 葉中賢博士 2021 年 5 月 25 日 CHAIRMAN'S STATEMENT 主席報告
