In 2001, Mr Eddie Hui started a company and operated two factories to manufacture products under his brands. In 2011 he started developing the licensing business. In 2018 B.Duck became the top 7 th IP and the 3 rd largest self-owned IP in Mainland Chinese character licensing market in terms of sales revenue. There are abundant business opportunities in particular, after the beginning of the new millennium. Apart from traditional industries, manufacturers can undertake different types of business including e-commerce, brand licensing and retail. Mr Eddie Hui is the founder and Managing Director of Semk Products Ltd. He created B.Duck in 2005 and has since run the small design house to become a successful IP holding company.
