DEPUTY CHAIRMEN’S VIEWS 宏勢微觀 Official Launch of DT Hub Embarks on the Growth of Re-industrialisation 數據技術中心落成　再工業化更進一步 I ntending to inject further momentum to re-industrialisation in Hong Kong, the Government has made remarkable investments on multiple fronts, such as infrastructure, policy, research and talent. In January, the Data Technology Hub (DT Hub) at Tseung Kwan O Industrial Estate has officially opened, with an extensive working space of over 290,000 square feet supporting data technology, data-centric operation and facilities for technological advancement. Situated at the heart of the Hong Kong’s data centres, Tseung Kwan O Industrial Estate cluster and adjacent to landing stations of major submarine cable systems, DT Hub enables startups and enterprises to expand their mission-critical data businesses by leveraging the state-of-the-art facilities and clustering synergies therein. Next to the DT Hub, the Advanced Manufacturing Centre (AMC), which is expected to be coming on stream in mid-2022, will offer top- of-class manufacturing areas catering for smart manufacturing and advanced assembly processes. The establishments of DT Hub and AMC will unlock tremendous synergies that propel local production and emerging industries to new heights. We encourage industry peers to give a vote of confidence in Hong Kong’s innovation and technology ecosystem, driving upgrades and transformation of industries.
