數年前，盈宗製藥董事郭姮菁獲納米及先進材料 研發院 (NAMI) 邀請參觀實驗室，了解可用於中藥膏 布的材料技術。然而，郭姮菁卻被NAMI的另一個科 研項目——納米纖維智能口罩NASK吸引了目光。 「看到這個輕巧又具極高保護性口罩原型，我不禁回 想到沙士的時候，醫護人員戴著厚重、焗促的N95 服務病患。如果我能夠將NASK投產，醫護就可以 選擇更舒適的個人防護裝備工作，減輕負擔。」 A few years ago, Sarinda Kwok, Director of Profit Royal Pharmaceutical was invited by the Nano and Advanced Materials Institute (NAMI) to visit their laboratory for new material technology that can be used in Chinese medicine plasters. Nevertheless, Sarinda was attracted by NAMI’s another R&D prototype of nanofiber smart mask “NASK” instead. "When I saw this lightweight and extremely protective mask prototype, I recalled the scene of our local medical-care professionals serving SARS patients wearing those heavy, scorching N95 respirators. If I can put NASK into production, it may become a much more comfortable option of personal protective equipment for our medical workers and help reduce their stress at work.” FOCUS STORY | 專題 Sarinda Kwok , Director, Profit Royal Pharmaceutical Limited 盈宗製藥董事　郭姮菁 Profit Royal Pharmaceutical was originally a manufacturer of proprietary Chinese medicines with main products of concentrated Chinese medicine granules and herbal health drinks. With many fortunate coincidences and a strong dedication, the company embarked on the "re-industrialisation" with local scientific research and became the first surgical mask manufacturer in Hong Kong. Sarinda Kwok, Director of Profit Royal Pharmaceutical, decided to launch the production of nanofiber smart mask NASK in Hong Kong in 2015. Without much references in the industry, Sarinda’ s team were all by themselves to find the way in establishing the manufacturing plant.
