The winner of “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area Environmental Leadership Recognition Award”, China Resources Cement Holdings Ltd (CR Cement), has been actively exploring development opportunities in the GBA, together with their strategic transformation and initiatives in promoting green development, and has become a well-developed and competitive supplier of cement, concrete and aggregate business. CR Cement is well deserved for this award. Their operating regions have been extended to Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Hainan, Yunnan, Guizhou and other Southern China regions. Their annual production capacity ranks top in the country, as of June 2020, their annual production capacity, including their subsidiaries, associates and joint ventures, is around 110 million tons. “According to the development plans of the GBA, the interconnection of the regions greatly depends on the transportation infrastructure. The country targets to expand their railway network up to 4,700 kilometres by 2025 and to 5,700 kilometres by 2035. With this infrastructure plans, it will bring us huge development opportunities, as one-third of our production capacity covers the GBA market.
