Such generosity has brought him widespread recognition from society as reflected by such honours as China Charity Award from the Chinese Ministry of Civic Affairs in 2005; honorary citizen of Dongguan; and “Exemplary Patriot” from the People’s Government of Hainan Province. In addition to his sterling professional and philanthropic achievements, Dr Lee is highly successful in terms of nurturing his successors. He is a role model for his children and sets high standards for them. What is more, Dr Lee provides advice on the direction and strategies that they might take. Under Dr Lee’s guidance, all six of his children have ascended to the upper echelons of the Lee & Man industrial empire and have achieved extraordinary success.
