64 FHKI Annual Report 2014-15 Industry Groups And Councils 工業分組及協會 Group 21: Transport & Logistics Services Council (TLSC) In September 2014, the Council organised a seminar on the “Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Programme”. Representatives from the Customs and Excise Department shared with participants the latest development as well as the accreditation criteria of the Programme. Besides, industry players who have been successfully accredited with AEO status also came to share their experience. In October 2014, the Council organised a seminar on the development of logistics in Hong Kong to help participants to rise up to the challenges faced by the logistics industry in Hong Kong. In February 2015, the Council organised a visit to the Hong Kong Post’s Central Mail Centre to see behind the scene postal operations and systems, including the Mechanised Letter Sorting Area and the Optical Character Recognition and Video Coding Integrated System. Council Vice-Chairman Joseph Leung and other Council members were also briefed on the latest development in the postal services. 第二十一分組:運輸與物流業協會 協會於2014年9月舉辦研討會,邀 請香港海關代表講解「香港認可經濟 營運商」計劃的最新發展及認證標 準,獲認證為「認可經濟營運商」之 業界代表也到場分享經驗。 為了解更多現時香港物流業所面對 的挑戰及協助業界應對,協會於 2014年10月舉辦「香港物流業的發 展 — 何去何從?」研討會,與業界 交流應對策略的看法。 2015年2月,協會舉辦「香港郵政 中央郵件中心」參觀活動,讓會員了 解該中心的運作,以及香港郵政的 最新服務。協會副主席梁礪鋒率領 15名會員參觀郵件中心的設施,包 括機械揀信區,以及綜合揀信機。 Group 22: Hong KongWatch and Clock Council (HKWCC) The present day operational environment in the PRD has changed substantially when compared to the 1980’s when Hong Kong industries first relocated to the PRD region. Industries now encounter huge costs and other pressures in their business operation. In view of this, Group Chairman Paul So and Vice-Chairman Yip Siu-fan and members of the Council held several meetings to discuss and investigate the possibility of relocating production facilities from the PRD to Dianjing, Chongqing. In October 2014, Mr Yip attended the focus group session for the “Made in PRD Study IV” to express views on the current operational environment of the watch and clock industry in the PRD region. Given the growing importance of the domestic sales market in the Mainland, the Council strives to assist members to enhance their competitiveness through branding and upgrading. In December 2014, Mr So fielded e-commerce experts of his company to show their insights at the networking session under the BUD funded e-Commerce for Domestic Sales Training Programme.
