54 FHKI Annual Report 2014-15 Group 8: Food, Beverages and Tobacco Led by Group Chairman Eddy Lee and Vice-Chairman Eric Ng, members paid a visit to Hong Kong Disneyland’s Food and Beverage Facilities in May 2014. Members visited the Central Production Kitchen and other kitchens and restaurants in different thematic parks to understand more on their food distribution system and operations. In May 2014, the Group organised a Happy Hour at HK Brewcraft. Apart from the Group leadership, Honorary President Dr Roy Chung was also present to see the beer making demonstration and share an enjoyable evening with members. The Group met with Principal Medical Officer Dr Raymond Ho and Senior Superintendent Ms Cheung Lai Kuen of the Centre of Food Safety (CFS) in September 2014. During the meeting, members exchanged views with the CFS on how food control and surveillance programme implemented by CFS could enhance safety of food supply. The Group had another meeting with Assistant Director (Food Surveillance and Control) Dr S Y LEE of CFS in February 2015 to further discuss the mechanism of publishing the list of traders in the event of a food incident. The Group, together with Group 18 (Non-Manufacturing: Supporting Services) and Group 20 (Hong Kong Trade Services Council), co-organised a hairy crab dinner in November 2014. The cross group dinner provided a good opportunity for participants to meet new friends and share business experiences. In January 2015, the Group together with Group 26 (Environmental Industries) co-organised a visit to Lee Kum Kee and Vinda Xinhui Plant. Group Chairman Eddy Lee, together with FHKI Deputy Chairman and Group 26 Chairman, Daniel Cheng, led around 20 members to visit the environmental facilities of the plants.
