50 FHKI Annual Report 2014-15 Group 2: Building Materials In November 2014, the Group organised a Members’ Day cum Sharing Session on Market Updates on the construction industry. The event provided a good networking platform for members across different industry sectors. In March 2015, the Group celebrated the new year at its spring dinner. Group Chairman Allan So, Vice-Chairman Andy Kong and Executive Committee members also paid regular visits to members to gain a better understanding of the needs and expectations of members so as to improve the Group’s services. 第二分組：建築物料 2014年11月，分組舉辦「建築行業資訊交流會暨會員日」， 讓會員藉著是次活動與參與者分享建築物料界最新的行業 資訊及增進與不同行業公司的交流，擴闊營商網絡。分組 亦於3月舉辦2015新春晚宴。 為加強分組與會員之間的溝通，分 組主席蘇達紅、副主席江錦宏和執 委會委員定期探訪會員，藉此更了 解會員的需要及期望，以提升分組 的服務質素。 Group 1: Chemical & Pharmaceutical Industries Council The registration system pursuant to the Chinese Medicine Ordinance has been implemented since December 2003. The Council has grave concerns over the low successful registration rate for proprietary Chinese medicines (pCms) which we have conveyed to the Department of Health as well as the Food and Health Bureau. FHKI Deputy Chairman cum Group Chairman Jimmy Kwok and Vice-Chairman Joseph Lau held a meeting in May 2014 to report to members the response from Under Secretary for Food and Health Prof Sophia Chan to the Council’s concerns at a meeting previously held and to update members on the latest development of pCm registration system.
