44 FHKI Annual Report 2014-15 Dinner with 12 major youth business organisations in Hong Kong to provide a platform for members to share market intelligence and foster closer relations. The YEC also organised events to raise members’ awareness of corporate social responsibility. Many members participated in the beHERO! Charity Run in 2014. Last year, the YEC also launched its new website (www.fhki-yec.org.hk ) and Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/yechk ) to stay tuned with members. The Sage In 2013, the General Committee (GC) endorsed the setting up of a networking group “The Sage” to strengthen ties with former GC members. Under the leadership of Dr K C Yip, President of The Sage, members actively participated in many FHKI activities and events, such as the monthly GC dinners and the annual golf tournament. The Sage also organised two dinner gatherings, including the Spring Dinner in March 2015. Promoting Corporate Social Responsibilities The Committee on Promoting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) was set up in March 2011. Under the Chairmanship of Eddy Lee, the Committee introduced a number of CSR projects during the past few years. In particular, the CSR Recognition Scheme – “Industry Cares” was kick-started in 2013 to recognise CSR excellence and efforts among members. In only 2014, Hong Kong Ferry (Holdings) Co Ltd and Mainetti (HK) Ltd were awarded the “Grand Caring Award” under Enterprise Group and SME Group respectively under the Industry Cares programme. Twenty other member companies were presented with “Industry Cares” certificates at the presentation ceremony. Other activities organised and co-organised by the Committee last year included the Future Stars Programme, the Mentorship Programme, Career talks at Tung Wah Group of Hospitals schools and FHKI Blood Donation Day.
